Extreme products and lifestyle
#1
I've come to the conclusion that Western-style Capitalism has fueled the current world economies, enabling people to make money as well as spend lots of it. And on all sorts of extreme lifestyles with the expected products.  This has become a golden age of sorts on all things luxurious,  but at the same time, it's pushing the boundaries of engineering and product perfection. All matter of high-end items seem to be selling:  real estate, supercars (which seem to all sell out as they become available),  smartphones, high-end audio, cameras, musical instruments, etc. Anything worth collecting also seem to be selling.  Note sure how long this can continue as we deplete the planet's resources, but it doesn't seem to be slowing down.  But only in developed parts of the world. Many parts are not participating, and the worry is the conflict that arises when these two worlds meet. The EU is very much at the centre of this.
