Bassline Rebelle Series Multi-Scale

This Bassline bass guitar from Germany caught my eye due to its great body design.  Not too extreme, it’s a hybrid shape reminding me of a Fender P-bass and a Rickenbacker 4001.  Add 5 strings and multi-scale, and you have a unique, modern instrument with a timeless body style.  I really like the design and layout of the knobs and pickguard, with the tasteful inlays. Excellent blending of traditional and modern styling.

Here’s the full description as translated:

The first instrument of the new re: belle series Multiscale variant, which we have made for our stock list. The first instruments were exclusively sales orders – which is why you never-before you had the opportunity to play such an instrument with us.

We chose here for a swamp ash body matt lacquered in combination with a neck and a fingerboard made of hornbeam. The Cream Pearl pickguard also has the same coloring as the neck.

In this case we use a scale length of 34 “to 36”. A nice compromise between good playability at an insane sound yield the B string.

The Multiscale instruments we use special pickups that wraps Reinhard Jedamzik of Delano for us. This sound a little more modern and tidier than the Häussel pickups, which are used in the standard Rebelle basses.

A “modern-vintage” instrument, in which the won “modern” something overhand, but without the re: losing belle-typical character.
