Pagelli SM

Pagelli Guitars has been showcased here before, and his guitars always stun the senses — full of imagination, creativity, and spectacular design.

The SM (Stephan Meier Custom) model shown here has that initial visual characteristic that reminds me of an unveiling of a new hyper car at the Geneva car show — incredible lines, curves, use of multiple colors and woods across the body, and the sexy body shape that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Look carefully and you’ll see a pickup integrated into the body and a bridge section which houses another pickup, controls and bridge — but looks like an elegant tailpiece.

The undulating body curves and curved cross sections, weaved with the contrasting woods and colors of light yellow and forest green as well as what looks like patina copper in the tailpiece and truss rod cover reflect the vibrant beauty and geometries of nature. A truly stunning piece of functional art from a master luthier.
