Malinoski Guitars

Peter Malinoski is an artist making guitars.  He’s got plenty of models, but the one that appeals to me the most is his Ramrod model.  It’s the birth child between a Les Paul and a Tele.  I love the curvy lines. Very cool design, features, and use of domestic woods without all the same old finish bling you see from other makers — woods like Spanish cedar, Grafted Walnut, Cherry, Spalted Maple, etc. and with natural oiled finishes.

Here are the typical features

  • 24-3/4″ scale
  • 12″ radius
  • 1-11/16″ nut
  • dual action truss rod
  • 2 carbon fiber struts
  • 24 frets
  • 2 or 3 pick-ups
  • Tonepros wraptail bridge
  • Hipshot tuners
  • Bournes / CTS pots
  • 3-way toggle or 5-way switch
  • BASE – $2200

The Ramrod has been designed to cover all sonic basses. It can be loaded with a variety of pick-up choices to take you anywhere you want to go… and all wrapped in a softly contoured, comfortable and beautiful modern instrument.
