Pagelli Quartz Guitar

This is a unique guitar from Pagelli Guitars due to its material construction. The owner of a stone quarry wanted a guitar made out of Switzerland’s regional valser quartzite. Because a guitar made completely of stone would be extremely heavy, they used a 1 mm (.040″) thick piece for the flat top. Pretty amazing.

I really like the design — particularly the soundhole placement as a part of the lower cutaway which seems to not be made of quartzite, but of wood which appears to be Brazilian rosewood based on the grain pattern.

I’m not sure how it sounds, but I give them kudos for trying!
