Stradi Blue

In Guitars, Image by jtkung

This is a concept guitar built by luthier Marek Dabek at symphonybass.com. This guitar contains some cool and unique solutions such as no flat surface on the neck and body joint, unique bridge design and over 2000 years old bog oak pickup cover.  Other features include a brass tube saddle, low mass tailpiece with floating bridge, seasoned oak body and neck, and thin and very resonant body construction.

Specification:

  • Neck: one piece oak without heel for left hand comfort and unique body connection, tung oil finish
  • Fingerboard: flatsawn rosewood with brass eye side markers and small size frets
  • Body: 2 piece oak, thin resonant construction, violin style design, blue satin finish with open grain
  • Pickup: Dimarzio ProTrack dual blade humbucker in over 2000 years old bog oak cover
  • Electronics: passive Volume and Tone with 3-way mini togle switch for serial/single/parallel coil setup, rosewood knobs
  • Tuners: Grover mini locking
  • Bridge: Pau Ferro floating bridge with compensated brass tube saddle. The bridge is placed by string tension (like on most archtops) so it allows to adjust the intonation manually.
